First workshop on energy efficiency in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector

As part of the public awareness campaign on energy efficiency in the refrigeration and air-conditioning (RAC) sector in North Macedonia, the first workshop was held on 5 May 2026 at the Aleksandar Palace Hotel in Skopje, on the topic of energy efficiency in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and reducing their environmental impact.

The campaign, which started in January 2026, is implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning through the National Ozone Unit, while the Resources Environmental Center (REC) — North Macedonia is responsible for carrying out the activities. Financial support is provided through UNIDO.

The workshop brought together 68 representatives from the banking, industrial and energy sectors, large retail centres, universities, hospitals and other institutions.
